Parent's Weekend at TCU 2011

I got to spend Friday afternoon thru Sunday night with Nick at TCU, home of the Horned Frogs!!!  We had fast food, nice food, tailgate food, and Frat food!  The school packed the weekend with fun activies which included a lot of mingling with other families and Nick's fraternity put on a great weekend of entertainment also.  Before I met up with Nick on Friday I visited the Student art fair and the largest meteoroid collection in Texas!  This was my favorite art piece

Nick and I participated in the opening welcome social, a fraternity social in downtown Fort Worth, a meet/greet with professors before the football game, the frat held a BBQ tailgate, then the football game against Portland State (55-13 romping!), a nice Texas steak dinner with just us, Sunday brunch at the frat house, a visit to the Fort Worth Zoo, and finally dinner at the Mellow Mushroom (local funky pizza joint).  Busy weekend and to top it all off the frat makes the pledges drive them around from 10-3 on weekends (actually a good thing) and Nick was on duty Friday night and completely wasted tired on Saturday. I was very happy to meet his new friends and his new fraternity brothers.

I remember my freshman year at college - but I sure don't remember it be soooo stressful.  I know he will get thru it, it is just getting thru it.  I'm proud of you!!!  Keep on succeeding!!!
